Vruksha has recently linked up with European Charitable Organization to improve the quality of the drinking water at the Children's Homes. Once this project is completed, the Home should be able to independently provide clean fresh drinking water for more than 80 residents.
We are working closely with Engineers Without Borders to build and maintain a permanent IT centre for the children. The project will be the first of its kind in the region and is expected to vastly improve the educational and employment opportunities for the children both during and post school. It will also offer the local community a unique opportunity to access vital medical, educational and other information relating to their daily lives, weather forecasts, national and state government support etc. With appropriate funding it is envisaged that the centre will not only be used for IT and library facilities but also host seminars, conferences, art displays, movie screenings, theatre and music performances.
