Vruksha The Charities is a voluntary organization founded by likeminded professionals committed to the cause of humanitarian and environmental concerns. Through a combination of their professional skills, voluntary service and financial resources they are engaged in an effort to reach out to the marginal and downtrodden sections of society. The idea is to create avenues whereby successful individuals, institutions, and corporate houses are reached out to and encouraged to support humanitarian projects through financial assistance or in kind. Our campaigns are focused towards simple acts of kindness, showing corporate and individuals the opportunities to give back to society through small steps. At VRUKSHA emphasis is given to help those sections of society who are socially marginalized, economically deprived and traditionally discriminated against.
A mobile health service will be regularly visiting neighboring l villages to cater for the medical and psychological well being of the people needed. Vruksha expects this service will need to be expanded as it expects post health issues and problems to increase in the years to come.
Vruksha has recently linked up with European Charitable Organization to improve the quality of the drinking water at the Children's Homes. Once this project is completed, the Home should be able to independently provide clean fresh drinking water for more than 80 residents.
We are working closely with Engineers Without Borders to build and maintain a permanent IT centre for the children. The project will be the first of its kind in the region and is expected to vastly improve the educational and employment opportunities for the children both during and post school. It will also offer the local community a unique opportunity to access vital medical, educational and other information relating to their daily lives, weather forecasts, national and state government support etc. With appropriate funding it is envisaged that the centre will not only be used for IT and library facilities but also host seminars, conferences, art displays, movie screenings, theatre and music performances.
The Charity focuses on enhancing the educational facilities/aids for nearly 5000 children’s from 75 rural govt.schools.
